Take a journey back four centuries to the Spaniards’ settlement of the New Mexico territory — when the horse was introduced, along with the style of branding cattle, roping and horsemanship still used today on New Mexico ranches.

Featuring real working cowboys and their families, the film give you a “fly on the wall” sense of what makes this cowboy culture tick.

Filmed on historic ranches throughout the state —the Bell, Conchas, La Jencia, Dripping Springs Ranch, Mescalero Apache Reservation, Rancho Del Corazón, Philmont and many others.

The film reflects this great Southwestern melting pot where Spanish, Indian and Anglo came together, each
preserving their own traditions, but forging a colorful culture unique to Tierra Encantado — the enchanted land.

Underscored with the music of New Mexico’s own Pedro Marquez, Rod Taylor, Bill Bailey and Ken Moore plus many others
